Aaron Judge lit up the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry, blasting his 52nd and 53rd home runs of the season as the Yankees took two out of three in the series. The Dodgers continued their power surge, hitting back-to-back-to-back homers again in a blowout over the Braves.

Week 2 brought plenty of surprises! The Chiefs secured a dramatic 26-25 win over the Bengals thanks to Harrison Butker’s 51-yard game-winner, while the Raiders stunned the Ravens 26-23. Jordan Love and the Packers edged the Colts 16-10, showing off their growing chemistry. In other action, the Saints embarrassed the Cowboys with a 44-19 blowout, and the Steelers ground out a gritty 13-6 victory over the Broncos. Monday Night Football capped the week with the Falcons taking on the Eagles

Texas is back on top! After a commanding 56-7 win over UTSA, where Arch Manning took over in the second half, the Longhorns moved to No. 1 in the AP Poll for the first time since 2008. In contrast, Georgia barely escaped Kentucky, needing a late TD to win 13-12. Alabama dominated Wisconsin 42-10, while Missouri pulled off a 27-21 victory over Boston College. LSU edged out South Carolina 36-33 in a nail-biter, and Notre Dame crushed Purdue 66-7 to get back on track.

With training camps fast approaching, NBA teams are fine-tuning rosters and focusing on strategy for the upcoming In-Season Tournament, a fresh wrinkle in the league’s regular season. This week, fan attention has been focused on roster construction, particularly around contenders like the Bucks and Celtics. Meanwhile, rumors continue to swirl around potential free-agent signings, but no major moves have materialized

In NASCAR, Chase Briscoe clinched a pivotal win at Watkins Glen International, securing a critical boost in the playoff race. Briscoe made a wild last-lap pass on Shane van Gisbergen to push him above the elimination line. Meanwhile, in Formula 1, Oscar Piastri took the checkered flag at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, continuing Mclaren’s dominance in the second half of the season, and giving Mclaren the lead over Red Bull in the Constructor’s Championship.
